Certificate Ceremony of the Directorate for EU Affairs 2019 Young Translators Contest will be held on 8 July

YOUNG TRANSLATORS ARE IN ANKARA FOR THEIR AWARD CEREMONY

The ninth Young Translators Contest was held on 6 April 2019 by the Directorate for EU Affairs in Istanbul. Successful contestants will be awarded their certificates in a ceremony to be organized with the participation of EU Embassies on 8 July 2019, at 02.00 p.m. The contest aims to increase awareness regarding the European Union (EU) accession process and to contribute to the training of translators in this field.

Out of 92 students from 25 universities; 56 competed in English, 20 in German and 16 in French language categories. During the contest, the students translated an EU text into Turkish.

Winners will also be awarded with a study visit to the translation units of the EU institutions in Brussels.
