Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik evaluated the agenda on NTV

Minister for European Union (EU) Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik made statements regarding the agenda and responded to questions on the NTV programme.

Regarding the stance of Greece after the 15 July coup attempt, Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik said: “The fact that Greece protects the coup plotters and is a country that protects terrorist is irreversibly damaging our relations.”

In response to a question regarding the assumption of the EU Presidency by Austria in July, Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik responded that it was customary to visit the country several months prior to its assumption of the EU Presidency and address future cooperation and work in the meetings. Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik said: “However we will not visit Austria because I can clearly see that Austria takes a hostile stance that wants to disrupt relations with Türkiye. Austria is a country that addresses this matter almost every day.”
