Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik evaluated the agenda while in the United Kingdom
Minister Ömer Çelik, who is in London (United Kingdom) in order to participate in the British-Turkish Tatlıdil Forum, made a statement to the Turkish press.
Indicating that the Tatlıdil Forum, the seventh which will begin today, is an important and valuable platform between the United Kingdom and Türkiye, Minister Ömer Çelik said that this year President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan would participate in the closing ceremony of the forum.
Minister Ömer Çelik, who indicated that Secretary of State for Foreign and Commonwealth Affairs Boris Johnson would open the Tatlıdil Forum this evening, noted that both general matters and the agenda of the forum would be discussed in his meeting with the British Minister. Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik said that the British Minister of State for Europe and Americas Alan Duncan would participate in a session on Brexit in the forum tomorrow.
Noting that the visit by President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan to the United Kingdom would be the beginning of a new period in relations between the United Kingdom and Türkiye, Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik said: “We can say that the relations between Türkiye and United Kingdom are now in a special and unique period which is very important for us. They are also approaching the matter with the same sensitivity.”
