Civil Society Dialogue Meeting on “Türkiye’s EU Accession Process” held in Samsun

Ministry for EU Affairs hosted a Civil Society Dialogue Meeting on "Türkiye's EU Accession Process" on 24 December 2015 in Samsun with the participation of Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır and with the participation of around 1600 representatives of civil society organizations, local administrations, business world and universities. Minister for Youth and Sports Çağatay Kılıç also attended the opening of the meeting.

After delivering his remarks on Türkiye's EU accession process, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ambassador Volkan Bozkır exchanged views with the participants in a friendly atmosphere at the meeting.

Moreover, participants were informed on financial assistance to be provided to NGOs within the scope of Erasmus + Programme and EU Pre-Accession Assistance.

Six Civil Society Dialogue Meetings have been held in the past year in İstanbul, İzmir, Konya, Adana, Bursa and Antalya, within the understanding of "a strong civil society and a strong Türkiye." More than 12.000 representatives from thousands of civil society organizations have participated in these meetings.
