Training on Fundamental Rights for Law Enforcement – Izmir
Trainings, which started in Zonguldak to enhance the capacities of law enforcement forces regarding fundamental rights, continuing in Ankara and Kars, was held in Izmir on 16-17 October.
In the training held with the participation of a total of 37 representatives, 12 women and 25 men, from the Turkish National Police and Gendarmerie General Command from the provinces of İzmir, Kayseri, Gümüşhane, Mardin, Elazığ, Diyarbakır, information was provided on the EU acquis on the promotion and protection of fundamental rights. Additionally, international standards and good practices on combating violence against women and domestic violence, freedom of assembly and association, prevention of torture and ill-treatment were discussed.
