Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay met with Maciej Popowski, Director General of Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations of the EU Commission
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay met with delegation including Maciej Popowski, Director General of Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations of the EU Commission, who came to Türkiye to visit the earthquake-affected provinces of Kahramanmaraş and Gaziantep and Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut, Head of the European Union Delegation to Turkey on 14 July 2023 in Ankara.
During the meeting, consultations were held on the current situation in the provinces affected by the earthquake, the post-earthquake supports provided under the Union Civil Protection Mechanism, the projects funded and the humanitarian aid provided by the DG Civil Protection and Humanitarian Aid Operations of the EU Commission, enhancing cooperation in disaster prevention, preparedness and response in the upcoming period.
