Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay met with 2023-24 Scholars and Turkish Alumni of College of Europe at the online Meeting
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay attended the online meeting on July 17, 2023, which brought together 13 Turkish young people who received European College scholarships for the 2023-2024 academic year and College graduates.
Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs Ambassador Mehmet Kemal Bozay and Türkiye’s Permanent Representative to the European Union Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, who is also a graduate of the College of Europe, emphasized the importance of the College of Europe scholarship program, which gives great chances to many students every year. They stated that 149 Turkish scholars have benefited from the program so far and they aim to increase this number in the coming years.
Stating that he looks at 13 Turkish scholars as the future Eurocrats and Türkiye’s envoys in the EU, Ambassador Bozay said that the scholarship is a valuable investment in the future of Türkiye and Türkiye’s EU membership process.
Through this meeting, graduates were allowed to meet each other and new scholars by further strengthening the communication network established among scholars.
