Call for SMEs for the First Time in Edirne and Kırklareli: The Environmentally Friendly Cross-Border Cooperation Call for Proposals Has Been Launched
Micro, small, and medium-sized enterprises (SMEs) from Edirne and Kırklareli will have the opportunity to benefit from the project proposal call with the budget of 6.6 M Euro specifically towards them under the Bulgaria-Turkey Cross-Border Cooperation Program for the first time. Within the scope of the "Environmentally Friendly Cross-Border Cooperation" call for proposals , SMEs can submit projects on promoting energy efficiency, reducing greenhouse gas emissions, and transition to a circular and resource-efficient economy.
To apply for the call, according to the EU’s SMEs calssification a micro-scale SME's total net sales revenue must be 150,000 Euros or more, a small-scale SME's total net sales revenue must be 250,000 Euros or more a medium-sized SME's total net sales revenue must be 350,000 Euros or more for the years 2020, 2021 and 2022. Additionally, it is a requirement for an SME, to collaborate and apply together with a SME meeting the same criteria from Haskovo, Yambol, and Burgas provinces in Bulgaria. SMEs are also expected to have established their enterprises before December 31, 2020.
Under the call, SMEs from Edirne and Kırklareli in the sectors of production, accommodation and catering services, transportation and storage, information and communication are expected to develop projects with Bulgarian SME partners and submit them to the Program's joint electronic monitoring system (JeMS). The projects developed are expected to be completed between 12 and 24 months. The final application date for the call is March 13, 2024 and during this period project preparation training, information meetings and a partnership forum will be organized for SMEs interested in and willing to participate in the call.
