Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik voted in Adana

Minister for European Union (EU) Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik voted in the Presidential and 27th Term Parliamentary elections at the Lütfiye Kısacık Elementary School, which he had formerly attended. In his press statement in the school yard, Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik said that he had voted and that all Turkish citizens throughout Türkiye had gone, with great enthusiasm, to vote in the elections so as to reflect their political preferences. 

Emphasizing that the elections were held in an environment of peace, Minister Ömer Çelik said: 

“All measures are taken to guarantee that everyone is able to manifest their political preferences in the elections regardless of their preferences. With great enthusiasm, our citizens will vote in the elections so as to demonstrate their democratic will. The ballot is Türkiye’s greatest strength. The decision on how to determine and construct the future of Türkiye and its government has always been designated through elections. Our people have always made the right decision. These processes will bring great happiness and prosperity. We have fulfilled our civic duty and voted. I hope that it brings happiness and prosperity for our people, as well as for all countries which are in solidarity with our people.”

Minister for EU Affairs Ömer Çelik indicated that it was a celebration of democracy to vote and said: “Türkiye’s greatest strength is its democracy and its ability to hold elections and celebrate democracy.”
