Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu met with the Ambassadors of the European Union Member States
Foreign Minister Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu held a meeting at Çankaya Palace with the Ambassadors of the European Union (EU) Member States on 12 January 2021.
Minister Çavuşoğlu emphasized that we were more hopeful for this year and were wishing that 2021 would be a year in which solidarity, multilateralism, diplomacy and dialogue prevailed.
Minister Çavuşoğlu also stated that we saw our future in Europe and wished to build it together, that we were committed to the reform agenda, and that EU should support Turkey instead of being an impediment.
Finally Minister Çavuşoğlu expressed that Turkey was attached to the EU accession process, that we would also show the necessary will if we received positive response from the EU, and that he hoped that 2021 would be a significant and positive year for Turkey-EU relations.
