Directorate for EU Affairs Received Jury Private Award in the Common Futures Award Programme

Directorate for EU Affairs has received jury private award through Civil Society Dialogue between Türkiye and the EU-V and Civil Society Support Programme-II Projects, which were implemented under IPA, in the Common Futures Award Programme. Bülent Özcan, General Director of Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation, Directorate for EU Affairs has attended the award programme held online and lively on www.ortakyarinlar.com

In the award presentation session, it was stated that “The Directorate for EU Affairs’ Projects Funded by the European Union” covers all categories of the award program and the institutions creating benefits for our country were supported within programmes. In his speech, Bülent Özcan emphasised that the Directorate for EU Affairs will continue its works for civil society; and themes such as sustainability, environment, reducing the impact of climate change and digitalization will be most important issues in the upcoming period in terms of EU funds.

After the Common Futures Award Programme, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı expressed his pleasure for receiving the Jury Private Award of the Programme, which gives the opportunity to introduce the Directorate’s projects and to share good practices with public.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also said that, “The Directorate’s grant scheme programmes, designed within EU’s IPA funds, support CSO projects for contributing to their capacity building activities. Within these projects,  cooperation culture and dialogue develop between CSOs in Türkiye and in the EU. In this context, I would like to thank my colleagues and grant beneficiaries. I wish impact of all these beautiful projects of applicants’ continue; and all the works inspire public institutions, companies, universities and CSOs. We also believe that common future is possible together.”

Common Futures Award Programme has organized since 2014 in order to raise awareness on corporate social responsibility. Award Programme has received 121 application from public, private and civil sektors. The nominees evaluated on the categories of Possible Together; Diversity and Comprehensiveness; Create Benefit for Women; Pave the Way of Youth; Digitalization; Work, Work Culture, Transformation of Labour; Health and Safety at Work and Sustainability and Environment.
