Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for European Union Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı participated in the closing event of the Grant Scheme for Partnerships and Networks held within the scope of the Civil Society Support Programme

The closing event of CSO Partnerships & Networks on Strengthening Cooperation between Public Sector and CSOs Grant Scheme, which is co-funded by the European Union and the Republic of Türkiye, and implemented within the scope of the Civil Society Support Program, held online on 9 December 2020. 

Opening speeches of the event were delivered by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for European Union Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye Ambassador Nikolaus Meyer-Landrut and Dr. Hakan Ertürk, Director of Central Finance and Contracts Unit. Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for European Union Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı emphasized the importance of civil society and civil society organizations and the necessity of public-civil society cooperation.

The program continued with the presentation of A. Hakan ATİK, Head of Department of Project Implementation in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for EU Affairs, entitled "Achievements of Grant Scheme for Partnerships and Networks". Within the scope of the Grant Scheme for Partnerships and Networks, through which 4,3 million euros in total was allocated,  10 civil society organizations within the Grant Scheme shared their project results with the participants. Besides, after the joyful concert given by Violinist Zeynep Erkan in the event, a flamenco dance and music show was staged by Ankara Flamenco Association.

Delivering the closing remarks, Director General for Financial Cooperation and Project Implementation in Ministry of Foreign Affairs, Directorate for EU Affairs Bülent Özcan thanked all civil society representatives and invited them to sustain their cooperation with public institutions.
