Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı came together with EU Ambassadors at Working Breakfast and attended the closing event of Grant Scheme for Grassroots CSOs
Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for European Union Affairs and Ambassador Christian Berger, Head of Delegation of the European Union to Türkiye met with EU Ambassadors at the working breakfast dedicated to “Türkiye - EU Relations from 2019 to 2020”. During the event which was held before the Closing Ceremony of “Grant Scheme for Grassroots CSOs Project” of which the Ministry of Foreign Affairs Directorate for EU Affairs is the beneficiary, “Türkiye - EU Relations 2019 to 2020” was addressed comprehensively.
The breakfast gathering realized with the participation of EU Ambassadors was followed by the Closing Ceremony of Grant Scheme for Grassroots CSOs. During the ceremony, Ambassador Kaymakcı and Ambassador Berger came together with the grant awarded civil society organisations and representatives of public institutions coming from various cities of Türkiye.
In his speech where he assessed the current Türkiye-EU relations and expressed expectations from the upcoming period, Deputy Minister Kaymakcı also underlined the importance of civil society in Türkiye’s EU accession process.
