Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı attended the inauguration ceremony of President of North Macedonia Stevo Pendarovski

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı represented H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan at the inauguration ceremony of the President of the Republic of North Macedonia Mr. Stevo Pendarovski on behalf of President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan on 12 May 2019 in Skopje.

Paying a courtesy visit to the President of North Macedonia Mr. Stevo Pendarovski, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı conveyed H.E. President Recep Tayyip Erdoğan’s greetings and congratulations to him.

On the other hand, the political consultations between Türkiye and North Macedonia were held by Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı and State Secretary of Ministry of Foreign Affairs of North Macedonia Viktor Dimovski. During the consultations, bilateral relations, regional developments and EU processes of both countries as well as cooperation in the international organizations were discussed.

Within the framework of North Macedonia visit, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also met with Deputy Foreign Minister Andrej Zhernovski, State Minister Elvin Hasan and EU Secretariat General State Secretary Kalinka Gaber. All dimensions of Türkiye- North Macedonia bilateral relations, regional developments and EU processes of both countries were discussed in detail at the meetings.

Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also came together with the Members of Macedonian Parliament Yusuf Hasani (TDP) and Enes Ibrahim (THP).

On the last day of the North Macedonia visit, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs and Director for EU Affairs Ambassador Faruk Kaymakcı also met with Turkish community in North Macedonia at an iftar dinner.
