Call for National Consultants Fostering a Comprehensive Institutional Response to Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence in Turkey

The Multi Country Programme (MCP) aims to support the negotiation processes of EU candidates and potential candidates under the Instrument for Pre-Accession (IPA). The European Commission is implementing the Programme through direct centralized management and the Directorate of EU Affairs is responsible for ensuring the coordination of the national stakeholders in Turkey, as the NIPAC Secretariat.

The European Union/Council of Europe Horizontal Facility for the Western Balkans and Turkey Programme is one of the programmes implemented under the MCP and Turkey actively participates in the second phase of the Horizontal Facility Programme covering 2019-2022 period.

In this context, the project named “Fostering a Comprehensive Institutional Response to Violence Against Women and Domestic Violence in Turkey” aims at strengthening institutional mechanisms in Turkey to co-ordinate and effectively apply the standards of the Council of Europe Convention on Preventing and Combating Violence against Women and Domestic Violence (Istanbul Convention) and developing knowledge and skills of key authorities responsible for preventing and combating violence against women and domestic violence, protecting victims/survivors and prosecuting the perpetrators of violence.

A tender procedure was launched to create a pool of interested national consultants with the relevant background and work experience in the area of preventing and combating violence against women, domestic violence and gender equality to support the implementation of the mentioned project.

More information on the project and the tender dossier of the call for national consultants can be found here.
