Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will pay an official visit to Brussels on 28-30 June.
In Brussels, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will meet with Christos Stylianides, European Commissioner for Humanitarian Aid and Crisis Management, Dimitris Avramopulos, European Commissioner for Migration, Home Affairs and Citizenship, Johannes Hahn, European Commissioner for Neighborhood Policy and Enlargement Negotiations, Federica Mogherini, EU High Representative for Foreign and Security Policy and Vice-President of the European Commission and Manfred Weber, Chair of the European People’s Party (EPP) Group.
On 30 June, Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will attend the Türkiye-EU Intergovernmental Accession Conference to open Chapter 33 “Financial and Budgetary Provisions” to negotiations and thereafter its joint press conference.
Minister for EU Affairs and Chief Negotiator Ömer Çelik will meet with Frans Timmermans, First Vice-President of the European Commission along with Mevlüt Çavuşoğlu, Turkish Minister of Foreign Affairs to discuss visa liberalization process.
Recent developments in Türkiye-EU relations, developments in the EU after the UK referandum, visa liberalization process and migration crisis will be on the agenda of Minister Ömer Çelik’s meetings in Brussels.
