European Cooperation Day Celebrations Took Place in Kırklareli

The European Cooperation Day celebrations under the scope of Interreg– IPA CBC Bulgaria–Türkiye Programme of which the Directorate for EU Affairs is the National Authority were zestily held in Inece, Kırklareli on 21st of September,2021 with the motto “Music will cure us, let’s socialize again” under the patronage of the Directorate for EU Affairs.

The event was organized in cooperation with the Directorate for EU Affairs in Türkiye (National Authority of the Programme) and the Ministry of Regional Development and Public Works of the Republic of Bulgaria (Managing Authority), and in coordination with the support of Joint Secretariat - Haskovo and Joint Secretariat Antenna in Edirne was attended by the representatives of Directorate for EU Affairs central and local governmental institutions and civil society organizations, as well as beneficiaries of the Programme and the local community

With the event, it was aimed to overcome the isolating effects of the COVID-19 Pandemic that have been still going on and damaging the social and economic lives of the local people. In accordance with the goal and the motto of the event “Music will cure us, let’s socialize again”, music concerts and folk dance shows were performed by musicians and folk dance groups from both Türkiye and Bulgaria. The event became a unique opportunity for people of the region to come together again and enjoy the healing Balkan and Thracian music.
