Annual Conference for Cross Border Cooperation Programmes under the European Neighbourhood Policy has been Conducted in Estonia

Annual Conference for the Cross Border Cooperation (CBC) implemented under European Neighbourhood Policy was conducted in Talinn, Estonia on 30th of November 2017. The Conference organized by TESIM, which provides technical assistance for the CBC Programmes. Jaak Aab, Ministry of Public Administration of Estonia, delivered the opening speech of the conference.

Representatives of European Commission, Managing Authorities and National Authorities of the Programmes, Joint Technical Secretariats, and GCDI Assosiation carrying out ex-post evaluation of the Programmes participated to the conference. Şebnem Sözer, Coordinator of Cross Border Cooperation Department and Serkan Bozkurt, EU Affairs Expert attended the conference as representatives of our Ministry.

At the Conference, findings and recommendations of ex-post evaluation report of 2007-2013 ENPI CBC Programmes and the interim reports of 2014-2020 ENI CBC Reports were discussed. Two panels with the topics of “ Capitalising the experience of 2007-2013 period to 2014-2020 period” and  “ capacity building for the potential beneficiaries of the Programmes and role of National Authorities in the process of project submission” were held.   Şebnem Sözer took part in the second panel and informed about the activities conducted by our ministry for the publicity of the Programme and capacity building of beneficiaries on the project development in the Programme Area. European Comission also privides information about the post 2020 CBC Programmes in the conference.
