125th Meeting of the EU-Türkiye Association Committee
The EU-Türkiye Association Committee held its 125th meeting on 28 November 2017 in Brussels. The Committee is the highest bureaucratic organ of the Ankara Agreement, which was signed in 1963 and establishes an association between Türkiye and the EU.
In the meeting, the Committee addressed the association relations and latest developments in Türkiye’s EU accession process. The Committee also discussed the “State of Play in the Accession Negotiations”, “Political and Economic Criteria”, “High-Level Economic Dialogue”, “Justice and Home Affairs”, “Environment and Climate Change”, “EU- Türkiye Energy Dialogue”, “Transportation”, “Customs Union Trade and Internal Market Issues”, “Taxation” and “Instrument for Pre-Accession Assistance”.
The meeting was attended by the representatives of the Turkish public institutions and the officials from EU member states, the EU Council, European Commission and European External Action Service.
